Pattern

In Lineage 2 Essence the pattern mechanism is something that can extremely boost up your toon.

I cannot stress enough how important patterns are! Patterns directly increase your stats. If you play mage, you usually focus your patterns into INT and WIT attributes. If you are a melee class, you usually focus on STR and DEX. There are exceptions of course (like in case of Assassin), but my personal advice is - for mage, you want to always have 90INT and 50WIT to get significant upgrade of Skill Power and skill cool down and for melee you want to have 90STR and 60DEX for maximum skill power and skill cool down.

If you play assassin, this wonderful toon has bonuses from other stats. I still highly recommend putting all patterns into STR!

How to obtain dye boosters to craft patterns

For Sienna server, except special events, you can drop Dye Boosters lvl 1 in Dragon Valley or you can buy this item from World Trade. Then, you can play a game of chance with 20% success rate to get a Dye Coupon via Special craft -> Upgrade/ Growth -> upgrade -> Dye Coupon.

For Eva server, except special events, you can get Dye Boosters also via World Trade or farming Water Dragon’s Canyon instance.

Samurai server does not have the Dye/Pattern feature yet. But I believe in the near future it will have the same mechanism as Eva server. So, if you play on a Samurai server, dont be shocked you do not see the Pattern/Dye mechanism yet!

Bear in mind, you cannot craft a Dye Coupon with a sealed Dye Booster! With Patterns there is another very important mechanism that is directly related to patterns - it is called Hidden Power. Hidden Power is a very important concept too, so it will get its own part in this series soon.

Collections

If you are reading this guide from the very beginning, you should now already see that there are many opportunities that will make your toon godly strong. Collections are another mechanism that scales your toon to the heavenly heights!

The mechanism isnt really complicated - you collect certain items to get a bonus. On the image above you have to collect Blue wolf armor set to get physical and magical attack +10 flat bonus. Isnt much? Just be patient. If you fullfill al lcollection, your toon will be significantly stronger than before!

Master’s collection mark

As you will notice very quickly, there are specific items you can buy directly from the merchants. From no grade to C grade. But then - there are items that are uneasy to get. And that is where the Master’s collection mark comes to the play. These items are here to help you finish your collections without struggling way too much.

A master’s collection mark is a very common reward as a part of the event. Also, in Sienna you can get those from Aden Cemetery location. On Special, they drop on more locations like Tayga, Aden Cemetery and Morgos Military Base.

What collection finish first

Start with Battle Assists - and aim for speed, skill cool down, Skill MP consumption and MP Recovery Rate.

Then move to Stats and boost STR/INT stats and MEN stats. MEN helps with MP recovery. This is very useful especially in the beginning so you can get MP sustainable.

After that - move to Attack
